How to prepare your Cacao
Preparing your cacao is a beautiful ritual and part of your ceremony. This is done consciously and with intention, from cutting to heating and frothing. Preferably with as many natural materials as possible. Remember, your energy and intention go into the cacao during preparation, so it's important to take a conscious moment for this as well. We also like to burn a smudge stick and/or a candle during the process.

Dosage
10-25 gram
Casual dose
This is a good amount to start experiencing the benefits, especially if you've already developed a stronger bond with cacao.
25 -35 gram
Meditative dose
This amount is great if you want to go a little deeper, to truly experience something consciously. A wonderful and conscious moment for yourself.
35-45 gram
Ceremonial dose
With this amount, you truly engage in a ceremonial exchange with the cacao spirit. This allows you to delve deeply and often results in the so-called "cacao glow."

Preparation method
-
Take the cacao and decide whether you’d like to prepare a light, meditative, or ceremonial dose. Weigh the desired amount or simply follow your intuition.
-
Lovingly chop the cacao into smaller pieces, this helps when preparing the drink. As you chop, you can already start working with your intentions and even sing to the cacao (the secret ingredient).
-
Take a pot and heat some water. You’ll need at least 100 ml for one cup (for a higher dose a little bit more). This amount creates a drink that’s not too thick and not too thin.
-
Make sure the water is well-heated but not boiling. This is important because boiling the cacao can destroy some of its valuable compounds.
-
Add the cacao to the heated water and stir or whisk until it becomes a creamy drink. You can use a spoon, whisk, or a traditional molinillo. This is another beautiful moment to infuse the cacao with your intentions, love, and song.
-
During this step, you can also add spices to taste (optional), think cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne pepper, or turmeric for example.
-
Pour the cacao into your cup and step into your own ceremony, wherever you feel most at peace.
